Die Welt ist, wenn ich genau hinhöre und nicht gerade bockig bin, sehr zart.
Alles spricht mit mir in völliger Stille- die Pflanzen,
die Menschen und vor Allem die Tiere.

The idea was that if I stayed in a bathrobe, I would garner the necessary raw courage to never get out of bed. Unfortunately, once you make yourself unavailable, demand for one’s presence increases and I found myself padding around the city in the thing. Plus, my mattress is lacking and I have a phobia of mattress shops as, in Berlin, they usually represent the death of something special. With a little luck, the soot of the city will turn the robe black and I’ll be come properly camouflaged as a pile of coal. Then there will only be the birds to worry about.

Mit und in Berlin lebe ich seit 33 Jahren. 1980 war ich Redakteur des linken Zeitungsprojekts „Die Neue“ die wiederum aus dem „Berliner EXTRAdienst“ in Berlin und dem Dritte Welt-Magazin in Bonn hervorging. Dieses Projekt, in der traditionellen Linken verhaftet,
überlebte nur knapp vier Jahre. Seit 1982 bin ich als Freier Journalist tätig, Mitglied der Bundespressekonferenz – in Bonn und in Berlin. Ich lebe in Bonn, im beschaulichen Stadtteil Oberkassel und in Berlin dort, wo am 1. Mai schon mal die Luft von Polizisten mit allerlei Reizstoffen versaut wird. Dort wo derzeit der Kapitalismus in Form einiger spezieller Vertreter der Immobilienwirtschaft, seine hässliche Fratze zeigt – in 10997 Berlin. Ich lebe in zwei Welten, zwei Heimatstädten.
